    Engineered with Vodafone McLaren Mercedes and tested in racing conditions by Jenson Button, each timepiece comes equipped with the TAG Heuer “six key features”: 1/10th of a second display, luminescent hands and markers, water-resistant to 200m, “Easy grip”, screw-in crown, double security folding clasp, sapphire crystal.

    The Indy 500 Chronograph celebrates TAG Heuer’s role as official timekeeper and partner to the world’s most thrilling race. Its black engraved tachymetre scale proudly displays the motto “INDY 500” in racing red. Red too is the chronograph hand, ticking off 1/10th of a second. And there’s another very special touch. The case back is beautifully engraved with a brick pattern, paying homage to the bricks of the Indy 500 finishing line.

    These models radiate all the excitement of F1 racing. Flanges on watch and chronograph display the racing red* of McLaren, our Formula 1 partner. And the same fiery red contrasts with white on the chronograph counters to make them superbly readable. The black titanium carbide-coated bezel* is an essential speed-measuring tool.

    Thanks to its revolutionary electro-mechanical movement developed, patented and manufactured by TAG Heuer, it displays time or chronograph functions using the same hands. The “chrono” mode records 1/100th of a second, and displays simple and intermediate timings. In “time” mode the retrograde date with a perpetual calendar until 2099 appears. This technological feat combines optimal functionality and elegant design.

    The advanced technology of the TAG Heuer Calibre S 1/100th Sec. Chronograph offers the exceptional accuracy of a 1/100th of a second chronograph while remaining very easy to read.

    The Calibre S was completely invented, patented, developed and manufactured by TAG Heuer. It proposes an innovative new method of measuring and reading time by means of bidirectional systems - mechanically independent yet synchronized. The precision of quartz technology with the complexity of mechanical watchmaking.

    The Calibre S movement allows dual mode operation. In TIME mode the counters at 4 and 8 o'clock show time and date. In CHRONO mode the same counters indicate 1/10th and 1/100th seconds and the central hands measure seconds, hours and minutes.
