The steel case-back is engraved with the original “Monaco Heuer” logo, “1979-1989 Special Edition” and “One of 169”.
The one-off design remains faithful to what first set the Monaco off from the pack: the bold square case, the first to achieve water resistance, left-sided crown, and the Calibre 11, the first automatic chronograph movement.
