Tokyo, 21 November 2014 - Superstar tennis player and TAG Heuer Ambassador Kei Nishikori hosted an exclusive tennis camp for Fukushima schoolchildren at a TAG Heuer charity event on the roof of Matsuya Ginza department in Tokyo.

TAG Heuer is very proud to have instigated this special moment between Kei Nishikori and kids from the coastal city of Soma, which was hit hard by the March 2011 tsunami. Ever smiling and encouraging, the tennis great gave his all to each starry eyed child, who came away with more than new tennis skills from this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The crowd was delighted to see one of the world’s greatest players in tennis up close, having fun with the kids. Many participated in a Twitter photo contest organized by TAG Heuer: by uploading pictures during the event on Twitter with the hashtag #TAGHeuerKeiForKidsEvent, they become eligible to win tennis merchandise signed by Kei Nishikori.

Kei Nishikori, who became a TAG Heuer Ambassador in 2012, has developed into one of the strongest players on the pro circuit, as attested by his being named one of the eight finalists in this year’s 2014 ATP World Tour Finals in London. In 2013 and in 2014, TAG Heuer Japan launched limited edition watches in Japan based on Kei’s favorite watch, the Aquaracer, which he co-designed with TAG Heuer’s master craftsmen.
