Il Red Dot Design Award è un importante premio internazionale assegnato dal Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen di Essen, in Germania, per il design di prodotto. Lo scopo del premio è riconoscere la qualità e l'eccellenza innovativa nell'ambito del design di prodotto.

La concorrenza è agguerrita, con più di 11.000 prodotti provenienti da 61 paesi. Ispirato al nome del Red Dot Museum di Essen, dove ogni anno ha luogo la cerimonia di assegnazione del premio, il Red Dot Design Award riguarda tre categorie: Product design/design team, Communication design e Design concept.
