This year, light will be shining on the emblematic TAG Heuer ambassador Steve McQueen during the Cannes Film Festival as Saturday 16th will see the Premiere of “Steve McQueen: The Man & Le Mans”, a documentary about the making of « Le Mans » released in 1971
The documentary features interviews and never-before-seen footage that remained untouched in basements and garages in Paris and Los Angeles, and exposes the audience to the driven, complex movie idol as he fought to make sure the film “Le Mans” would be made.
For this occasion, Steve McQueen’s son, Chad McQueen, will be in Cannes to present the documentary alongside with the directors, John McKenna and Gabriel Clarke.
Steve McQueen’s legacy is timeless. More than an actor, more than a pilot, he became a legend. Like TAG Heuer, he defined himself beyond standards and never cracked under pressure. His Monaco watch, with the black alligator skin strap and a stylish restro 60’s style, became iconic thanks to “Le Mans”.
