The patented TAG Heuer Calibre S movement has evolved yet again to produce the 1/100th Second Electromechancial Laptimer Chronograph. Conceived and manufactured exclusively by TAG Heuer, the Calibre S movement proposes a radically new method of measuring and reading time: bidrectional systems - mechanically independent yet synchronized.

The Calibre S Laptimer has 5 bidirectional engines and 230 components, giving it extreme precision and functionality. It has a chronograph accurate to 1/100th of a second, flyback and best lap time features and a turning flange to measure time elapsed since the start of a race.

The unique design is directly inspired by McLaren Mercedes-Benz SLRs. The 1/100th and 1/10th second chronograph counters are placed at 160°, echoing the dashboard of a sportscar. The push buttons are fitted with an exclusive and patented transmission system, and ergonomically fit the curve of the case.

Previously available only in limited editions, this is the first ever TAG Heuer SLR Calibre S available as a permanent edition. The TAG Heuer SLR Calibre S Laptimer Chronograph is a must for all lovers of auto racing or precision timing.

Double anti-reflective treatment for better readability

All our watches are fitted with sapphire crystal. This is cut from a polished slice of solid sapphire that has been created by the fusion and crystallization of alumina. Sapphire is so hard that only a diamond can scratch it.

The tachymeter indicates the average speed of a car, for example, by measuring the time taken to cover a given distance (a kilometer or a mile).

Strongly inspired by sports car instruments, the Calibre S Laptimer uses similar bidirectional micro-motors and 160° dials. Placed at 4.30 and 7.30, they display information ranging from a perpetual calendar to 1/100th of a second.

• The central hands display the elapsed time measured by the chronograph (hours, minutes and seconds).
• The two counters at 4.30 and 7.30 display the date in Time mode, and 1/00th sec. in Chrono mode.
