The advanced technology of the TAG Heuer Calibre S 1/100th Sec. Chronograph offers the exceptional accuracy of a 1/100th of a second chronograph while remaining very easy to read.

The Calibre S was completely invented, patented, developed and manufactured by TAG Heuer. It proposes an innovative new method of measuring and reading time by means of bidirectional systems - mechanically independent yet synchronized. The precision of quartz technology with the complexity of mechanical watchmaking.

The Calibre S movement allows dual mode operation. In TIME mode the counters at 4 and 8 o'clock show time and date. In CHRONO mode the same counters indicate 1/10th and 1/100th seconds and the central hands measure seconds, hours and minutes.

All our watches are fitted with sapphire crystal. This is cut from a polished slice of solid sapphire that has been created by the fusion and crystallization of alumina. Sapphire is so hard that only a diamond can scratch it.

Strongly inspired by sports car instruments, the Calibre S uses similar bidirectional micro-motors and two 160° retrograde dials. Placed at 4.30 and 7.30, they display information ranging from a perpetual calendar to 1/100th seconds.
• The central hands display either the time in Time mode or the elapsed time measured in Chronograph mode (hours, minutes and seconds).
• The two counters display either the perpetual date in Time mode, or the 1/10th and the 1/00th seconds in Chrono mode.
