Jimmy Spithill
Jimmy is the youngest ever winner of the America’s Cup. The Australian sailor has a strong background in Match Racing, winning the Match Race World Championship in 2005 and then winning the 33rd America’s Cup with ORACLE Team USA Racing in 2010. Twice awarded Sailor of the Year in Australia, Jimmy started helming an America’s Cup yacht in 2000 and jumped all the steps up to his current role of skipper for ORACLE TEAM USA. Last July, Jimmy won the first ever America’s Cup World Series with its AC45 catamaran. In less than one year from now, Jimmy will defend the America’s Cup trophy in San Francisco bay.
