Hat Trick for TAG Heuer in Le Mans 24 and Canada F1 GP

For the 79th edition of the historic Le Mans race, TAG Heuer was once again Official Partner for watches, eyewear and timekeeping solutions of Audi Sport. The German racecar team put the victories record higher, with now an unrivalled 10 victories in Le Mans in the last 12 editions. This year was very special for TAG Heuer - a swiss company - as with the swiss driver Marcel Fässler on the podium together with his Audi Sport team mates Benoit Treluyer and André Lotterer, TAG Heuer will be forever associated with the first ever swiss driver winning the Le Mans 24. Marcel alongside with Benoit and André proudly wore his TAG Heuer CARRERA mechanical chronograph on the podium. Audi Sport flies TAG Heuer colours on its racing cars and drivers’ suits at Le Mans and in all 2011 Intercontinental Le Mans Cup endurance races. Team drivers wear and promote TAG Heuer CARRERA Day-Date chronographs and managers wear TAG Heuer Grand CARRERA chronographs. The team uses TAG Heuer’s timekeeping technology during private testing sessions. TAG Heuer also equips Audi Sport drivers with TAG Heuer sharp driving enhancing Panorama Night Vision glasses.

TAG Heuer also won the LMP2 category thanks to Greaves Motorsport and their drivers Karim Ojjeh, Tom Kimber-Smith and rising star Olivier Lombard. Tim Greaves, the Team Principal and Owner is also famous for the premium Bruichladdich whisky he produces on the isle of Islay in Sotland. TAG Heuer has been proudly partnering with Karim Ojjeh and his teams over the past 5 years.

Just 2 weeks after "Painting Monaco in TAG Heuer" for the Formula 1 GP as Official Partner of the Monaco GP and being appointed as the Official Chronograph of Indy 500 for the 100 years of the mythical US race, TAG Heuer scores another magical and epic Hat Trick with its racing partners and drivers this week-end at Le Mans 24 and Canadian F1 GP.

The classic endurance race took place June 11-12, 2011, the same weekend that TAG Heuer’s partner Vodafone McLaren Mercedes was winning at the Canadian Grand Prix, during an epic race : under heavy rain and after 6 pit stops, Jenson Button came back from last position to overtake S. Vettel in the very last lap !
