The Red Dot Design Award is a significant international prize awarded for product design by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany. The goal of the prize is to award quality and leading innovations in the field of product design.
Competition is stiff : there are more than 11,000 entries from 61 countries. Named after the Red Dot Museum in Essen, where the annual prize ceremony takes place, the Red Dot Design Award is handed out in three categories : Product design/ design team, Communication design and Design concept.
Monaco Calibre 360 LS
The Monaco Calibre 360 LS Concept is recognized for its unprecedented precision and its design flair. The distinct metal finishes of the engine bridges and the linear seconds (LS) indicator reveal an undeniably avant-garde approach. The chronograph is powered by the patented Calibre 360 - the most accurate mechanical chronograph in the world.
In 2007 TAG Heuer collects yet another Red Dot Design Award, this time for the Monaco Calibre 360 LS Concept Chronograph.
