  The contemporary sports watch inspired by motor racing. TAG Heuer never rests on its laurels. In 1887, Edouard Heuer made history with the oscillating pinion. For our 150th anniversary, we have given it new life and re-engineered it in-house, to create the Calibre 1887. In 1964, Jack Heuer himself designed the Carrera series, in honor of the 'Carrera Panamericana Mexico', history's most grueling automobile endurance race.

  This year Jack celebrates his 80th birthday with a new limited edition chronograph. The large opening with counters at 3 and 9 comes directly from the original design, in a sunray grey dial with Heuer logo and touch of red. In addition it shows on its back Jack’s signature together with the Heuer family coat of arms that date back from the 15th century. This coat of arms symbolizes for him the entrepreneurial spirit that has been the driving force now for over 150 years.

  This new Carrera is extraspecial. It is the most momentous advance ever made in chronograph displays. Its patented Calibre S movement registers amazing 1/100th of a second. To maximize readability, the hour and minute hands show either watch or chronograph times. The distinctive semi-circular Calibre S counters show 1/10th and 1/100th of a second or a perpetual calendar until 2099.
